A select group of five skiers got lucky — the weather guessers were wrong, again!
In spite of a forecast of rain and high winds, we proceeded, and discovered that,
while it was indeed warm, there wasn’t any rain.
It was windy higher up, as evidenced by the scudding clouds and the fiercely-waving
trees on the ridge tops, but quite calm in our vicinity.
Well, breezy enough that we didn’t linger after lunch at Midnight Lake!
The snow was great, and the company even better.
A good time was had by Laurie Funkhouser, Royal Murdock, Rick Wilmath, Gloria Youngbauer
and leader Dallas Hemphill.
