Salt Creek FallsJanuary 21, 2001The weatherman predicted rain — but seven participants met anyway to snowshoe Salt Creek Falls. Happily, the rain held off until during our lunch stop when a light rain began. This did not diminish the enjoyment of the group, viewing three falls at the lookouts and taking pleasure in being outdoors in the forest and tramping in the snow. Another snowshoe couple asked for our assistance for band-aids for blisters. Of course, our leader had a complete first aid kit, and others in the group also offered supplies. We won our “Gold Star” for the day! One participant finished her hikes for Member eligibility. Salt Creek Falls snowshoers were Lynn Rankin, Ellen Leinbach, Grace Swanson, Suzanne Pearce, Mary Ann Holser, Hal Hushback and Barbara Bruns, leader. |
