Rebel Rock Loop

Everyone that signed up showed up on time. This hasn't happened to me in a long time! A start that says "A good day ahead", and it was indeed. met long-time climbing friends, Jan & Rich at the trailhead to complete the group. The weather was good and beautiful. Nobody complained about the rigors and brushy areas of the long cross-country section. had lunch at the base of Rebel Rock. A great view day. Later we revisited the old Rebel Rock fire lookout; regrettably it is slowly disintegrating. Then the final four downhill quad-building miles or so to the welcome cars. Started hiking at 10:00 a.m., finished at 6:00 p.m. The exceptional trekkers were Jan & Rich Anselmo, Jim Clarkson, Cork & Carolyn Higgins, Wojciech & Adam Szalecki and Ed Lovegren, leader.
