Gold Lake

December 3, 2000

Is there enough snow for us to ski? That was the big question when seven of us met in the SEHS parking lot. We were surprised to find enough snow on the road for us to have an enjoyable ski trip. At first, it was a bit crusty, but tracks made the day before gave us some good downhill glides. The weather was mild with some sun and blue skies. We saw a stellar jay at the shelter. All of us — Melvina Bartels, Casey Fenner, Carol Petty, Sharon Ritchie, William Strelet and John & Janet Jacobsen (leader) — were pleased that we made it out for this ski trip early in the season.
