First snowshoe trip of the season! Wow, Awesome! Thirteen enthusiastic people piled into three vehicles and headed to Gold Lake for a day in the snow. We were hopeful of enough snow to snow shoe into Gold Lake. We found enough snow for almost perfect conditions to snow shoe. The sky opened up to a deep blue and the sun shone brilliantly. Everyone was in high spirits as we reached the lake in an hour and settled down for lunch. All were in favor of returning via Marilyn Lake; we finished the trip as the clouds arrived. We were tired but extremely pleased with the first winter trip of the season. We welcomed non-members Vickie Levine, Jeanne Palzinski and Debra Schwartz. Obsidians were Max Brown, Peter Graham, Dick Hildreth, Yuan Hopkins, George Jobanek, Sig Otto, Michelle Tambellini, Jon Tressler, Jim Whitfield and leader Gerry Roe. Special thanks to Max and Dick for assisting with the trip.
