Maiden Peak/Rosary Lakes

This 12-mile loop around Willamette Pass is normally a fairly tough day trip. With some heavy new snow, it was even tougher. But with an early start and a high-endurance group, we managed to complete the loop before sunset. Special thanks to Sally Grosscup for lots of trail breaking through snow deep enough to completely conceal her legs! Other skiers were “Dr. Steve” Goins, Don Ladigin, Doug McCarty, Dave Garcia, Beki Ries-Montgomery and Bill Montgomery (leader).
