Fawn Lake

Fawn Lake is a great destination for snow-shoers. Dick Hildreth, Gerry Roe, Jim Whitfield and leader Melody Clarkson followed the ruts and tracks to the lake, glad they weren’t on skis! Unlike last year when the ridges surrounding the lake glistened in the sunlight, this year imaginations pictured the ridge. Feeling invigorated after lunch, the foursome trudged on over another low ridge and up a small canyon towards Stag Lake. Looking down on the basin where Stag Lake lay covered with ice and snow, the group decided time had the best of them and headed back to the parking lot for a satisfying ride home.
