Rosary LakesJanuary 8, 2000Five skiers fit snugly into the leader’s vehicle for the drive to Willamette Pass. It rained most of the way but turned to snow near the Pass. Lots of snow and a good track enabled us to reach the first lake in good time. After a short lunch break we continued on to the other two lakes, breaking track part of the way. Variable snow showers kept the weather interesting. The slick snow made for a fast return but also led to falling by some of us — though the snowy trail was forgiving to our bones! After a warming rest and hot beverage in the lodge we returned to Eugene before dark. Enjoying the fine conditions were Bob Burnett, Bea Fontana, Clare Tucker, Nicole Rychenbusch and leader Ed Lichtenstein. |
