The “third time’s a charm” must apply to leading Crescent
Mountain hikes. In ’98 we hiked the last mile in a snow storm; in ’99
we endured haze, heat and humidity; but this sun-baked day was another-day-in-Paradise hike!
We noticed evidence of pileated woodpeckers, a monstrous at hill near the summit,
and two golden eagles, along with a clear view of Mount hood.
Hikers were Richard Sundt, Michelle Tambellini, Paul Keller, Chris McKay, Harry Cassidy
and leader Karen Myers.
