The hike to Vivian Lake on a perfect day was enjoyed by 12 eager
and most congenial hikers. The trip turned out to be something of a
team effort, as I was unable to go at the last minute.
My special thanks to Sheila Ward for so willingly agreeing to be the official leader,
and to all who gave her assistance along the way. All hikers were rewarded
with two waterfall vistas on the way to Vivian Lake, and then lunch and lake
exploring at the lake itself. On the return trip the group stopped at the
impressive Diamond Creek Falls, and also enjoyed views of Salt Creek Falls
and its canyon. Hikers were Letty Morgan, Wayne Westling,
June & Dave Brooks, Judith Terry, Daniele Delaby, Max Brown, Dan Bates,
Yuan Hopkins, Elliot Aronin, Barbara Bruns, and Sheila Ward, leader. Joanne Ledet (reporter).
