Brice CreekApril 9, 2000A perfect day for a perfect hike. A party of 18 ventured forth on an overcast but pleasant day. Many thanks to George for taking the lead and to Susan for bringing up the middle while I played sweep. The upper falls was lovely. We then ate lunch in the semi-sun alongside Brice Creek at the Trestle Creek bridge. After lunch we ventured up the short trail to the lower falls, then back to the main trail and west to the lower trailhead. The sun came out, which made Brice C reek more beautiful. The water was so clear. I have never seen so many trilliums and fawn lilies alongside the creek trail. Obsidians sharing this day were George Baitinger, Susan Baker, Max Brown, Barb Bruns, Benton Elliot, Yuan Hopkins, Sandra Larsen, Sig Otto, Benette Rausch, Barbara. Schomaker, Michelle Tambellini and Sheila Ward, and non-members Chris Christensen, Melvina Bartels, and Bill & Mary Ellen Laughlin. Sharon Ritchie, leader. |
