Castle Rock TrailMay 3, 2000This was our third annual Castle Rock trail maintenance session. Working conditions were ideal as it was cool with a light rain. Steve at McKenzie Ranger Station got some tools for us and we began at King Road near Belknap covered bridge and walked uphill 4 miles trimming brush, cutting small logs and removing limbs from the trail. Flowers in bloom were Oregon grape, trillium, red-flowering currant and oxalis. The five trail crew members were Elliot Aronin, Max Brown, Helen Liguori, Clare Tucker and leader Dave Predeek. |
