Rosary Lakes

We had sunshine and fresh snow. This was the best skiing yet this season. Fortunately there were plenty of others ahead of us to break trail. We ate lunch in the sun at Lower Rosary Lake, where Dave Stone told us of his work to promote the establishment of a Maiden Peak Wilderness Area. The Wilderness would include Maiden Peak, Rosary Lakes and other small lakes in the area. After lunch the sky abruptly clouded over and by the time we reached Middle Rosary Lake snow was falling. We glided back down the trail for refreshments at the lodge. Enjoying the fine skiing were Marsha Barr, Mary Croson, Jane Dods, Caedmon Irias, Sandra Larsen, Cheshire Mayrsohn, Royal Murdock, Sharon Ritchie, Dave Stone, Clare Tucker and leader Dave Predeek.
