Fawn LakeFebruary 20, 1999Nine of us enjoyed a perfect winter trip! We started out for Fawn Lake at 10:45 on what we thought was an already broken trail. After 1½ miles, however, we were forced to break our own trail while frantically searching for blue diamonds. Some diamonds were at the snow line, while many were completely covered up so we had to resort to using compasses and a map to find Fawn Lake. Dick Hildreth really helped to finally find the lake around 2:00. We enjoyed a peaceful lunch break with good views of the lake and mountains. Skiing out was all downhill, very fast, and so much fun! It was a great day for Tyler Burgess, Allen DeBuhr, Sheri Cannell, Dick Hildreth, Caedmon Trias, Peggy Mathes, Clare Tucker, Jon Tressler and Diane Jeffcott, leader. |
