Midnight Lake

This trip, originally scheduled for Maklaks Loop, changed when the leader realized there were only going to be two of us and we might have to break trail alone. Midnight Lake turned out to be a good choice although numerous tree wells and the deep snow presented a few challenges. We lunched at the lake and then attempted to complete the loop but the trail had not been broken and without blue markers to follow we gave it up and returned the way we came. A cup of hot chocolate at the warming but ended a very pleasant day for Carol Armstrong and Leona Devine, leader.
