January 17, 1999
Weather report: Heavy rain, 35°+, freezing level rising to 6,000 ft., winds 25-35 mph.
In spite of this and torrential rains all night in Eugene, everyone showed up on time and ready to go.
Actual weather: High clouds, some sun, 7" new snow.
It started to sprinkle at the lunch break.
10-15 minutes of light winds then on/off sprinkles on the return trip.
A good ski trip with fun companions.
Thanks to David Roderick for helping with the driving and to Diane for the suggestion of pie
and cofee at Odell Lake Lodge!
P.S. — The “heavy” rain and winds started on the drive home.
Tour group consisted of: Obsidians Mary Holbert, Diane Jeffcott, Helen Liguori, David Roderick,
Clare Tucker and non-members Dave Stone, Jan True and Tammy Wagner.
Leader: Sharon Ritchie.
