Gold Lake/Marilyn Lakes
January 10, 1999
The weather was perfect for a ski trip to Gold Lake.
Snow was a little icy early in the day, then was slushy later in the day.
Nine of us ate lunch by the lake while the camp robbers desperately tried to steal
bites of our food.
We returned through the woods by Lower and Upper Marilyn Lakes.
Several of us ventured out on Upper Marilyn to watch some ice fishermen.
They assured us the ice was 2½ ft. thick in most places.
We were back at the SnoPark by 3:00 p.m., enjoyed hot drinks courtesy of the ski patrol,
and arrived home by 5:00.
Skiers were Melody Clarkson, Mark Briggs, Helen Liguori, Liz Conibear, Leona Devine,
Sarah Haimowitz, Tanya Stiller, Dot Leland and Diane Jefcott, leader.
