Six Obsidians in two cars left sunny Eugene and arrived at the equally sunny
Willamette Pass ski area.
A warm, sunny day in the mountains but since there was no recent snow the Rosary Lakes Trail
was crusty and icy.
At the first lake we had a long, leisurely lunch enjoying the day and the temperature.
The local birds arrived and were fed; Don literally had birds eating out of his hand.
Half the group went up to the second lake.
On the return, the snow had softened enough — though there were still icy areas
— to permit a relatively smooth descent.
A few members had time to play on the bunny slope before we returned to Eugene.
Skiers were Ruthie Kanagy, Don Ladigin, Joshua Ladau, Anne McLucas, Peggy Mathes
and Ed Lichtenstein (leader).
