Ten Obsidians and six non-members piled into four cars for the trip to Dolly Varden Campground;
then crammed into three cars to F.S. Road 1828, where we began hiking downstream.
A cool but clear morning and the day warmed as we hiked.
The large group turned out to be strong and homogeneous and, helped by co-leader Janet Hall,
we made good time while still enjoying the woods and the stream.
We lunched at Rebel Rock Campground and also visited the Indian Cave.
A beautiful day on a great trail enjoyed by Obsidians Yuan Hopkins, Sheila Ward, Jane Rudd-Marks,
Diane Jeffcott, Elliot Aronin, Ellie Mariner, Lucille Peterson, Mary Ann Hastings and Ed Lichtenstein,
and non-members Annie Monroe, Connie Yost, Bonnie Manheim, Jim Fritz, Ruth Romoser and Ellen Syverson.
