Rosary Lakes/Maiden Peak Saddle
September 12, 1999
In spite of Diane’s best efforts, we didn’t get lost or lose anyone.
About a dozen hikers enjoyed a clear sunny day while hiking to the three Rosary
Lakes, Maiden Peak Saddle and Taits Trail.
After lunch, we headed up to find Taits Trail, following skiers’ blue diamonds,
on the east side of the lakes and Pulpit Rock for a challenging trip down.
We had great views of Rosary, Odell and Crescent Lakes from the top of our loop.
The 10-mile hike was exhilarating for Sheila Ward, Joanne Vinton, Janet Hall,
Roy Nelson, Virginia Prouty, Nola Shurtleff, Yuan Hopkins, Richard Sundt, Jim Fritz,
Arlene Deyo, Jack Schra and George & Diane Jeffcott (trip leader).
