Lower Eddeeleo Lake

September 5, 1999

It was a nice day for a hike — a little hot but a pleasant breeze was with us. There were few bugs and few people, which was a surprise to me since it was Labor Day weekend. The day was clear so that we could see four mountain tops at one vista looking north. After seeing four lakes and eating lunch at Lower Eddeeleo Lake, we headed back. At several creeks we noticed many toads; one area had so many that the ground appeared to move. My thanks to a great hiking group: Danielle Delaby, Benette Rauch, Mark Hansen, Sheila Ward, Max Brown, Yuan Hopkins, Maggie Gontrum, Wendy Dame, Roy Nelson, Stephanie Astorino and Susan Baker. — J. Scott Hovis (leader).
