Mt. June

July 31, 1999

Leaving the fog-shrouded Willamette Valley, four of us drove into the sunshine to climb Mt. June. After battling the flying gnats while eating lunch and marveling at the view, we hurriedly left for Sawtooth Rock. In the meadows we saw field of poppy-like pink flowers (Farewell to Spring — actually a primrose?). Enjoying the hike were non-members Yuan Hopkins, Mike & Jan Williams (Jan a former member) with Mike providing laughs, and leader Shirley Cameron.
