Opal Creek

Last year’s decision to reduce the size of the group from 20-25 this year was, fortunately, taken out of my hand with Opal Creek receiving Wilderness designation! It was a perfect day — warm sunshine, white clouds, cool breezes and lots of water in both the Little North Santiam and Opal Creek. Many thanks to Rich Romm and Dick Hildreth for helping to drive. A really compatible group included Obsidians Sylvia Harvey, Dick Hildreth, Scott Hovis, Don Ladigin, Ellie Maliner, Margaret Malsch, Sig Otto and Rich Romm and non-members Catherine Corotis and Martha Welches.
