McKenzie River TrailJune 17, 1999The sun made its morning appearance as the city bus approached the McKenzie Ranger Station and shone down on us all day long. On this Spring-like day we found a few wild flowers along the trail but the forest floor seemed unusually dry for this time of year. The McKenzie River was quite swift with the level up high on its bank. Some of us had trouble keeping our footing along this trail, but Obsidians Mary Millman, Don Ladigin, Nola Shurtleff and Margaret Prentice along with non-member Daniele Delaby and trip leader Bill Prentice managed to return to the bus stop in time for the 4 o’clock return trip. |
