Moon & Spirit Falls

June 6, 1999

Nine non-members and six Obsidians marched up the gravel road to view the spectacular Moon Falls. We lunched gazing at Mother Nature’s wonderful display. Back down the gravel road went those excellent hikers, taking a short detour to experience Spirit Falls. Grateful were we that the rain which accompanied us to and from Cottage Grove let us enjoy a rainless hike. It was an honor to have Elizabeth Bryan, an English visitor who is completing a world-wide tour, join our group. Thanks to Helen Liguori, Susan Baker and Jane Rodd-Marks for sharing the driving. Also, kudos to Helen for assuming the duties of sweep and Corona Hats (alias Michelle Portious) for gathering the litter.
