Yes, it was overcast and cool but actually rained very little while we were on the trail. Nola Shurtleff and leader Shirley Cameron made the trip in spite of the discouraging forecast. We had a wonderful leisurely hike, enjoying the plants and trees and musing about what might be killing the manzanita. We were startled by a tall, lanky man in shorts passing us several times while he ran the loop!
