Ridgeline TrailApril 11, 1999The weather was perfect — clear and sunny, but still cool enough that we could maintain comfort just by taking off or putting on outer clothing. There was still lots and lots and lots of mud … we used walking sticks to keep our balance in it. We saw woodpeckers, turkey vultures, hawks, wrens and a good supply of wild flowers. We also saw brave and strong young mother pushing her two children in a stroller through the mud. Our very congenial group was made up of Bonnie Ledford, Kate Queary, Carol Armstrong, Barb Elsen, Sig Otto and Nola Shurtleff, leader. |
