We had good weather, good company, nice birds and the Trillium, Spring Beauty, Hound’s Tongue and Calypso Orchids were in bloom. Granted, the mud was two inches deep and two miles long, but we took our time and nobody slipped. Walking sticks helped! Hikers were Max Brown, Donna Eimstad and Nola Shurtleff (leader).
