Rosary LakesMarch 8, 1998Cool weather and intermittent snow showers made for good skiing in the Cascades for the weekend. Others had already broken the trail for us and it was easy going up to Lower Rosary Lake. At North Rosary Lake we could look up at Pulpit Rock through falling snow and sunshine. It was smooth gliding all the way back down the trail. This was the best snow yet this year. We interrupted our journey back to town to dine on gourmet fare at Rosalina’s Restaurant in Oakridge. [Stop in and try the Vegetarian Burrito some time!] No one loses weight when they go on one of my ski trips. The five participants were Maura Conlon, Judy Reininger, Dave & Nola Roderick and trip leader Dave Predeek. |
