Maklaks LoopFebruary 14, 1998Good snow, good weather, good roads and a great group of people made for a fine day of skiing. Six of us set off in two cars. Thanks to everyone who offered to drive. A light snow the night before made skiing conditions just about perfect. Even the “challenging” hill was about as easy to negotiate this time as this leader ever remembers. We stopped for lunch at the high point of the trail looking off toward Odell Lake. Though the sun made a valiant effort to break through, it was a little too cloudy for a good view. After lunch, the downhill run out was so nice. It was over too soon. Skiers were Janet Hall, Tom Holser, Sandra Larsen, Judy Reininger, Clare Tucker and leader Leona Devine. |
