Gold Lake

February 4, 1998

There is something especially nice about going skiing on a weekday. Feels like playing hooky as you drive through the traffic of people on the way to work. The snow wasn’t great. But reasonable. The day was lunch in the sun while sitting warmly on the snow, listening to the creek flowing out of Gold Lake, and being entertained by the antics of a woodpecker, jays and camp robbers. And the company and conversations was OK, too. Then an easy ski out for an early return. Fellow skiers were Gene Thaxton, Mary Nelson, Helen Liguori, Sandra Larsen and leader Royal Murdock.
