Rosary LakesJanuary 17, 1998Rain and the forecast of rain scared some away, but five of us jammed into Barbara’s Camry and drove to the Willamette Pass. Marvelous! Blue skies and sunshine greeted us. The trail to Rosary was “tracked”, sometimes too deeply, which at times made the downhill return tricky. But the snow was decent and we saw only two other small parties all day. We lunched in the sun at the main lake and then returned. A bit difficult at first, but then a pleasant glide out as we lost elevation and the snow softened. Pleasantly surprised and comfortably tired skiers were non-member Helen Vidal and Obsidians Cheryl Berry, Barbara Bruns, Janet Hall and leader Ed Lichtenstein. |
