Crescent Mountain

September 26, 1998

Crescent Mountain, a fine hike, is best attempted in good weather when views of the surrounding mountains can be fully appreciated. Still, the opportunity to exercise on a brisk but cloudy Fall day made it worth our group’s time. After a quick lunch huddled near the remains of the old fire lookout, we hiked four miles back to the trailhead in less than two hours. Downhill descents have their advantages. A good time was had by all. “All” included Anne Williams, Tim Shinabarger, Barb Elsen, George Baitinger, Rita Johnson and Sam Miller (leader).
