Middle Fork of the Willamette

This trip began at the SEHS parking lot with the trip leaders, five non-members and one member. It was a long drive approximately 80 miles each way — but pleasant m the cool morning air. This is a car shuttle trip, and Barbara, Dick and Kris offered up their services with the driving. There were some rough spots with blow downs but mostly smooth sailing. It got pretty hot by mid-day and most of us stayed as damp as we could from the various springs and small streams. Lots of old growth on this trail and rhododendrons galore (would be nice earlier in the summer). A good time was had by all: Warren Olson, Karen, Lucy & Dick Rayle, Barbara Bajer, Helen Liguori and leaders Kris Kennedy & Garrett Campbell.
