Fawn LakeJanuary 11, 1997It was a beautiful day. Blue skies and warm sun reflecting on the frozen lake. So a warm coat wasn’t necessary as we sat in the sun by Fawn Lake and ate our lunches. Of course, we were warm from coming up the trail. We had worked our way over, through and around several downed trees across the trail. And this was under rather icy conditions. It was interesting and occasionally amusing to watch people climb trees with their skis on! Our route back down the trail was very careful and was both skied and walked. It felt good to hear the snow machines in the parking lot as we returned: we knew then we were down and the rest of the way was practically flat. Surviving were Barbara Hagen, Dick Hildreth, John Pilafian, Blyth & Russ Carpenter, Ginger & Les Blum, Barbara Bruns, Eric Miller, Larry Reid and Royal Murdock, leader. |
