South LoopJanuary 5, 1997Sunday, January 5 was one of the prettiest skiing days I’ve ever experienced. This large group negotiated the South Loop on some of the best snow I’ve skied on. We passed by Big Lake and lunched at Brandenburg Shelter, where the temperature was warm enough to be able to enjoy lunch and the sun. Although the big mountains were clouded over, we enjoyed views of Sand Mt., Cache Mt., Hoodoo and Hayrick throughout the day. We were finally treated to views of the big peak on the ski back to the cars. Skiers were Lynette Boone, May Lynn Cummings, Cathy Sussor, Bob Haberman, Mary Holbert, Diane Jeffcott, Helen Liguori, Norma Lockyear, Dot Leland, Royal Murdock, John Pilafian, Sharon Ritchie, Linda Roe, Paul Schoumeier, Sylvia Stead, Karen Svenson and Jane Hackett (leader). |
