In perfect weather we drove to Oakridge and then continued on east up Salmon Creek Road to
reach the trail head.
Recent rains made the trail soft and dust-free. After three miles we reached Waldo Mountain lookout.
The atmosphere was exceptionally clear and Hood, Jefferson, The Sisters and Diamond seemed unusually
close at hand.
After lunch we made our way down the east side of the mountain and circled back through Waldo Meadows
to complete the loop.
Experiencing the hike were Joyce Baker, Lubos Hubata-Yacek, Nioma Jolin, David Swindell
and Marc Hansen (leader).
