Our band of eight hikers left Eugene at 8:00 in the Rayle van and the Berry Honda under
We arrived at Salt Creek Falls under partially sunny skies, which remained with us throughout the day.
The forest was fresh from recent rains and the three waterfalls and creeks and Vivian Lake were as
spectacular as ever.
There were a surprisingly large number of other hikers (20 to 25) in various small groups on the trail.
Our congenial, cohesive group consisted of Cheryl Barry, Max Brown, Elliot Aronin,
Dick & Lucy Rayle, Lubos Hubata-Vacek, Richard Tuck and Marc Hansen, leader.
