Deception Butte

It was an outstanding day for our hike; beautiful sunshine and moderate temperatures made the hike a pleasure. There were some gorgeous wild flowers blooming in the meadow at the top where we also had a clear and stunning view of Diamond Peak and the City of Oakridge nestled in the foothills. It made me wonder why I used to prefer the Hardesty Mountain hike over this one! Joining me (leader, Denise Sevigny) on this day were Karen & Lucy Rayle, Richard Lemon, Melte Kwodson and Greg Burman.
