French PeteJune 29, 1997The French Pete Trail is open for three miles to the still-out bridge. But the trail to that point is in pretty good shape. French Pete was the alternate choice June 29 as the Grasshopper Mountain Trail is not cleared of many blown-down trees. Hopefully, it can be hiked next year. The French Pete Trail traverses through an old growth forest, following closely to the creek. It was wonderful as always, beautiful and peaceful. Hikers were Barbara Chinn, Liz DeShetler, John Hanby, Corinne Hunt, Teresita Ladd, Mary Millman, Nola Shurtleff and leader Mary Ellen West. |
