Eugene-Fern Ridge ReservoirJune 8, 1997Our prayers were answered and we enjoyed warm sun and a light wind as we cycled down the bike path west towards Fern Ridge Reservoir. Nothing could really prepare us for the jolts and thuds we experienced on Stewart Street’s potholes. Lunch at the lake was peaceful and leisurely, more sailboats and sailboarders than picnickers. A nice tailwind helped spin the wheels home again. Enjoying the 32-mile round trip were cyclists Bob Devine, Barbara Bruns, David Becker, Sandy Reul, Dick & Rose Marie Moffitt. Two guests were Karen Prater and Joyce Sanders. Gayle Berge, trip leader, was very relieved to learn that cyclists pay no fees upon entering Fern Ridge Reservoir. |
