Washburne Loop

Rain, hail and wind would not deter a determined group of hikers on Easter. Forewarned, all were prepared for the worst weather on the coast. It rained, hailed and blew but not on the eight hikers walking the Washburne Loop. The sun shone and the wind blew the rain north. We had a great day and enjoyed a new (not quite finished) segment of the China Creek Trail. The Washburne Trail is a combination of several trails north of Cape Perpetua in and around the Washburne CG, a State Park. All trails are well identified. Hikers included Susan Baker, Barbara Chinn, Mette Knudsen, Helen Liguori, Nola Shurtleff, Joyce Smith, Joanne Vinton and Mary Ellen West; leader.
