Three Creek Lake

Leaving Eugene’s dark winter skies and imminent rain behind us, we drove to the Sisters area for a chance at better weather. Sure enough, the Three Creek Lake area didn’t disappoint us; though it was mostly overcast, we only experienced a momentary snow shower (while lunching at the lake, of course!). The meager snow was sufficient to cover our entire route, while the parking lot and road were both snow free. Originally mislabeled as an 8-mile loop — 12 eager skiers insisted on doing the extra three or four miles to Three Creek Lake. Of course, almost half the route was a brisk downhill. Joining me (Bill Montgomery) were Cheryl Berry, Blyth & Russ Carpenter, Janet Hall, Dick Hildreth, Diane Jeffcott, Kris Kennedy, Mike Landes, Bob Lemon, Anne Dhu McLucas and Dale Schaper.
