What a spectacular end to a lovely fall hiking season!
With a major weather front promising lots of snow due in that evening, we chose to believe the
weather report of “increasing clouds and a 55° temperature”.
We had everything!
Sun and sweat, cool wind/cold wind, white clouds/black clouds, occasional showers — but, no rain!
Best of all we had wonderful scenery.
My very sincere thanks to Anne M. and Dick Hildreth for leading the Broken Top/Soda Creek Loop
portion of the trip. The views on the Broken Top section were wonderful.
What a treat and what a great crowd.
Many, many thanks to Dick Rayle and Richard Turk for driving and to ——— for making it a perfect day
[you fill in the blank].
Non-members were Dick & Lucy Rayle, Merilyn McCray, John Hanby, Richard Turk and Torsten Pihl,
and Obsidians Mary Ann Hastings, Anne Montgomery and Dick Hildreth. Leader — again, of sorts
— Sharon Ritchie.
