Tidbits Mountain

September 28, 1996

Tidbits Mountain really is a “tidbit” considering its relatively short length (4 miles round-trip). For this delightful hike near Blue River our group of eight hikers had excellent weather. The trail was lined with great fall color provided by a proliferation of vine maple. From the top of Tidbits, the surrounding Cascades peaks reflected a fresh dusting of early season snow. Lunch at this site provided a 360-degree panorama of what makes the Cascades a great mountain range. The group for this pleasant hike consisted of Mary Millman, Max Brown, Joanne Vinton, Mary Ann Hastings, Lydia Smith, Pete Marks, Doreen Waggoner and Sam Miller (leader).
