When having a choice between a hot day in Eugene or a cool day at the coast — the coast is an obvious winner! Last year, two people showed up … this year twenty-three (23), and it was truly a beautiful, cool day with a strong wind from the north. Several needed extra clothing and the Adobe Boutique came in handy. We started out at high tide and as the water receded and the sun heated, we looked like mysterious elf-like creatures in the mist. Coastal elves were: Elliot & Priscilla Aronin, Maude Caldwell, Wendy Clarke, Dallas Cole, Barb Elsen, Ilan Egoz, Nancie Fadeley, Bonnie Haight, Mary Ann Hastings, Dick Hildreth, Mary Millman, Karl Nestvold, Ralph Olive, Dave Predeek, Bill & Margaret Prentice, Nola Shurtleff, Doreen Waggoner, Carol Wayne, Sanford & L. Weinfeld, Herbert Whitman and trip leader Birgitte Williams.
