Eagle CreekJune 2, 1996The third time I led this hike seemed to attract more interest. In the past, I’ve averaged three participants — today nine. Eagle Creek was busy with many hikers, but the weather made the trip worth taking. There were several spring water falls, and patches of beautiful wild flowers. Several gorges and “Tunnel Falls” were my favorite sights. On our return, two-thirds of the group stopped in Portland for dinner. In general, it was a very pleasant day for Rich Romm, Sig Otto, Chuck & Sandy Reul, Bonnie Ledford, Denise Sevigny, Ivan Vandeberg, Dick Hildreth and Gary Marx (leader). |
