Finley Wildlife RefugeMay 15, 1996Since the trails were wet and the day was showery and cloudy, our tour around the William L. Finley Wildlife Refuge consisted of a visit to Park HQ, a look at Cabell Marsh, a hike to the quarry off Bruce Road and a hike around the Woodpecker Loop. We watched the swallows building their nests at the old red barn. The fields, trees and hills were so lush and green. It was a pleasant day for Ron Friedman, Nioma John, Helen Liguori, Mary Millman, Dixie Minkler and trip leader Dot Leland. |
