Xmas Potluck: A Joyful Evening
December 27, 1996
The Friday, December 27th Potluck at the Lodge was the family affair we had hoped for! Our lovely fireplace blazed and warmed us while we sipped Champagne (some thought it was sparkling cider), and collective spirits soared.
The tables were seasonally decked with holly, candles and some charming Christmas ornaments, and George Jeffcott carved the turkey with much flair and expertise while the rest of us filled our plates with all the trimmings.
Bob Dark made sure everything ran smoothly, tending the fire, filling glasses from the many bottles of the sparkling stuff that Margie Wright and her charming daughter provided.
However, the time came when the tables were cleared and Kevin Clark — as well as Norm Benton and Robin & Ken Lodewick — had excellent slides and stories to go with them to share with the rest of us.
It was a truly joyful evening.
