Shotgun Creek Picnic

August 20, 1996

It was a a nice summer day for our end-of-trips picnic. Five guests and 18 members car pooled to the BLM park in the Mohawk Valley. The facilities were immaculate. The food was catered, which all seemed to appreciate. Several people brought pictures of current and previous year to share. Lots of getting acquainted, and many stories were told. We had an update by Ewart Baldwin for the upcoming Canadian trip in early September. Many took short walks to check out the other facilities and trails. It was a “first-time” for many to Shotgun Creek. The trails enticed many to want to return. Picnickers were: Ethel Allen, Ewart & Margaret Baldwin, John & Marion Borchardt, Ingrid Carmichael, Claire Cooley, Sharon Cutsforth, Bill Eaton, Bette Hack, Dora Harris, Phyllis Hulse, Rosella Jones, Sara Jones, Cleora Mersdorf, Marilyn Morris, Frances Newsom, Edna Robertson, Myrtle Sagen, Marjorie Townes, Hawk & Ruth Williams and Liz Reanier, leader.
